Happy birthday to us!

AccessibilityOz is now seven years old! We’re a few days late celebrating this year, as our CEO, Gian Wild, was ill with food poisoning and had to travel back to Australia. She missed keynoting DrupalCon Nashville’s Higher Ed Summit and speaking at CodeMotion Rome. She was really looking forward to both conferences and to checking out Nashville and Italy.

Staff

This last year we have welcomed some new staff: Sheryl Dwyer, Operations Manager; Sam Bouchat, Personal Assistant to Gian Wild; Bess Monti-Plummer, Book-keeper; Tom Lawton, Full Stack Developer; Kisiah Powell Timmons, Business Development Manager and Russ Weakley, Technical Accessibility Specialist. And we’re still hiring – so get in touch if you are interested in joining the AccessibilityOz team!

Welcome to clients

We have also welcomed back some previous clients, including Woolworths, Digital Transformation Agency, NBNco and Disability Rights Washington. And, of course, we want to welcome some new clients to the AccessibilityOz family, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Disability Rights Maryland, Disability Rights Texas, Capgemini and CNIB. And many thanks to our continuing clients, including: California Community Colleges Tech Center, McDonalds, George Mason University, Michigan State University and University of Sydney.

Awards

We’ve had a great year in terms of awards. Gian Wild was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2017. DDOmbuds, a web site we built for Disability Rights Washington, won several awards, including the Interactive Media Awards Best in Class (non-profit) and Bronze in two categories in the Horizon Interactive Awards – Advocacy / Non-profit and Health / Human Services.
