Happy Holidays!

Once again, another busy year for AccessibilityOz. We are very pleased to announce that two of our clients were shortlisted for the Australian Web Awards: Rooted in Rights for Not For Profit and Accessibility and City of Melbourne for Content and Government. We built the Rooted in Rights site earlier this year for Disability Rights Washington and we’re thrilled that it won the Accessibility category!

We welcomed some new staff throughout the year: Kare Romanski in the US and Lauren Hayes and Herbert Vinco in Australia. Kare is specialised in higher education accessibility, and helped out Gian and Eliza at the Accessing Higher Ground booth in November. Lauren works mostly as Gian’s PA but is also the brains behind the AccessibilityOz blog A11y Voices: blog posts written by people with disabilities about web accessibility. Check it out at: www.a11yvoices.
com. We are always looking for bloggers (paid of course!), so get in touch if you would like to be involved. Herb has taken on some marathon testing projects in the last few months, and has even taught Gian some new tricks!

The AccessibilityOz team is taking a well-deserved break from the end of Friday December 16th, and we’ll be back to start 2017 off on January 9th.
